Gata de Gorgos - Marina Alta
In the Marina Alta comarque, Caseta Vinamar represents our understanding of natural wine, combining tradition and experimentation. The project is the brainchild of Tonet, a son of Xaló, who has transformed local viticulture into a unique experience that respects the land and its roots. Trained as a sommelier at the UAB, Tonet has become a pioneer of natural wines around Alicante. As far back as 1982, he opted for biodynamic viticulture, rejecting chemicals and sulphites to recover the essence of the grape. Caseta Vinamar's vineyards stretch between Xaló, Llíber, Gata and Pedreguer. The red and white soils give life to varieties such as Giró, Syrah and Sangiovese, as well as less common grapes such as Riesling, Verdejo, Maria, Zalema, Muscat, Trapadell, Merseguera and Petit Verdot. Each harvest is an opportunity to explore, to let the vine tell its own story.
For decades, Tonet has been a key figure in the revitalisation of craft wine in the region. Faced with the mass production that followed phylloxera, he chose the difficult path: quality over quantity. This commitment has led him to collaborate on projects such as Les Freses in Jesús Pobre and to defend sustainable, conscious winegrowing. 1996 marks a turning point with the entry of Pau Ruiz, a ceramic artist from gata de Gorgos. The combination of Tonet's experience and Pau's artistic vision has given rise to a profound renewal. In 2019, Caseta Vinamar is consolidating with a new cellar where each wine is conceived as a work of art.
The wines, whether white, red, still or sparkling, stand out for their authenticity and character. They're not just drinks, they're stories in a bottle, ideal for sharing special moments in good company and with a smile. Caseta Vinamar is not just a wine cellar, it's a philosophy of life. With respect for the land, passion in the cellar and harmony perceptible in every glass, this project is a tribute to the Marina Alta and its most precious grapes.

All the work in the vineyard is carried out by hand: pruning, vine shoot collection, green pruning, treatments, maintenance of the plant cover, ploughing, etc. The plots of land are located in the municipality of Teulada for the Muscat d'Alexandrie, goblet vines around 65 years old, and in Dénia for the Sauvignon Blanc, trellised on limestone soils at the foot of Montgo. Biodynamic cultivation and organic certification.
The harvest: the optimum moment of ripening is chosen to obtain the best aromas and fruitiness. The grapes are harvested in two stages, at the end of August for the Sauvignon Blanc and the end of October for the Muscat.
The winemaking: the two grape varieties are matured separately: destemming and cold maceration of the must with the skins for six months, daily manual punching of the cap, devatting, pressing in April and fermentation at low temperature. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is blended and stored in stainless steel vats. Aged on fine lees for twelve months. Racking and bottling without clarification or filtration. 1330 bottles.
