Since 2018, with the association of Benissa Bancals de Vi, we have been organising tastings at markets, at home and now at our cellar in Pego to showcase the natural wines of Alicante, Castelló and Valencia from our list: whites, oranges, reds, sparkling wines and vermouth. It is an experience that explains what a natural wine is and how it differs from a conventional or ecologically certified wine. We also talk about local grape varieties, vinifications such as sparkling wine using the ancestral method, ranci wine or Fondillon from Alicante.
The tastings are conducted in Valencian, French or English. For us, this is the ideal pedagogic tool to promote natural wine, it is a pleasant moment of exchange that can last for a long time depending on the enthusiasm of the public, we are never tired. On request, we can organise a brunch, order a paella or a fideua.
In order to offer a minimum of different wines, we welcome from four people, knowing that six or eight participants is an ideal group to enjoy a good selection of wines. The price is 10 eur per person (minimum of four people or 40 eur) plus travel expenses.
